I tried Flock a few days ago and I am sold. It's built off Firefox, so you know it's awesome. Add in the social aspects built right in, and it just kicks that much more ass. The only thing lacking is Vox integration. THen it would cover all my bases.
Just got my 2GB RAM and 16GB SDHC. So I took a long lunch went own to the local deli and had to play a bit. Definately snappier with multiple apps open. I'll install some stuff to the SDHC card tonight.
Like usual I am late to the party. I just picked up my Eee yesterday, I went with the XP version. I figure worst case I load Linux on it, then I have a spare XP license. So far I like it alot. I'll have to get used to the keyboard, but that shouldn't take long. Finally a true grab and go laptop.

I have been working out for a few weeks now along with eating healthier. I have finally hit a goal; I've lost 15 pounds. I am past my last beltloop and Jay noticed my arms have gotten bigger. My efforts are paying off, just the boost I needed.

Well my first week went very well. Monday I plan on taking some things in to get settled in. Looking forwrd to really getting involved in things. I have been taking support calls and working with the various systems. It is a lot to take in a single week. Feels good to be back to work...
I accepted an offer for a System Administrator position and start Monday. Now I can relax and enjoy my last week off.
Update - I got an offer. Everything looks good plus they are offering to send me for my MCSA.
During dinner tonight I got a phone call. I didn't take it then because A. I hate when people answer the phone during dinner B. I had a mouth full of chips and salsa. Once the message came through I listened to it; the first company I interviewed with called me to move forward. I have had three interviews with the company so I assume they want to make an offer. Good news for me. I update this after I return their call tomorrow morning.

Well I set out with the intent to blog the whole job search experience. No real reason just something to help occupy my time. My life the past few weeks has been fairly uneventful. Considering the current job market things are progressing pretty well. I was contacted by another recruiter yesterday for a Linux Admin position. That makes 3 interviews. There just isn't enough content in my life right now to support daily posts. I do make random posts to Twitter, but they aren't the same. I will post when things happen but it may not be every day. For the most part everyday is the same. Get up and go to the gym, shower and get ready for the day. Next coffee at a local coffee shop (with free WiFi of course), surf and drink till noon. Go home and do a little house work till Tyann gets home. That is it, with the exception of running an errand here or there.
